BridgeDays

More time away from the same days of leave.

BridgeDays exists because the best days to take off are hiding in plain sight in the calendar, and most people never look.

Why it exists

In much of Europe a public holiday on a Tuesday or Thursday is an invitation: take the day in between and a single day of leave becomes a four-day break. Germans call it a Brückentag, the Spanish a puente, the French a pont.

Finding those days means reading next year's calendar holiday by holiday. BridgeDays does that for you, for more than 200 countries, and then spreads the leave you have across the best of them.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Planning stays free. Working out which days to take costs us almost nothing, so it costs you nothing. No caps and no account required.
  • No invented numbers. Every break we show comes from the published public holidays for your country. If we cannot load them, we say so.
  • Your data stays yours. We store a plan only when you save it, and we do not sell personal data or build advertising profiles.

How we pay for it

The planner is free for individuals. BridgeDays earns from travel businesses, which can pay for a featured place for their offers (always marked "Sponsored") or for extras on their widget. We may also earn a commission when you book a stay through a link on a break.
